Is a iphone bigger and wider than an itouch 16gb 2nd generation?

I bought an itouch 16gb 2nd generation and i’m looking for a gelaskin skin cover for my itouch. And I was searching on Amazon.com and typed gelaskin and I found a lot of results. I’ve noticed that there are a lot of cool skins for the iphone, so I was thinking if I should buy an iphone skin for an itouch. But I was wondering if they are the same size.

The iPhone is a bit bigger than the iTouch. Cause I have one, and I went searching for a cover. There was an iPhone case and an iTouch case. The iPhone case looked a little taller.
