What happens if you shine a red laser through a glass prism?
I know when white light shines through a prism it refracts it and seperates it into seven colours. But what will happen with a red laser. I assume its product will be some kind of redish colour, but I’m wondering if it will be something different. Has anyone ever tried it?
The prism splits white light into colors because the different frequencies (colors) are bent a different amount. A LASER is only one frequency, so it can not be split. It just bends.
