Is there a device that I can plug stereo RCA cords into and get speaker cable output?

I know that I can use a receiver. Is there anything smaller that I could still adjust the volume on?

yes, but it seems like it is difficult to locate what you are looking for now… I have a small amp that is just a little bigger then a 360 controller that has 2 inputs (one being phono) has volume control, L/R balance, and even bass/treble knobs… its kind of old.. but I keep it cause I want to use it for a future project…. I got it from radio shack.. couldn’t find the right search string to put in there site to find anything (tried mini stereo amp, small stereo amplifier, and other variants) perhaps if you went into a radio shack they might be able to help… (laughs) but they should know there inventory…
