What is the best type of makeup brush?

I am looking to buy set of brushes. There are goat, pony, fake hair and squirrel. I’m not looking for professional grade but still want high quality.

Actually if you go to SEPHORA you can get really decent brushes for a decent price. Otherwise if you want a better quality I would go for some MAC brushes. Or even better TARGET has some really nice ones for a very decent price.
